Dance on Call brings joyful dance to you in your care setting!

Sessions are usually an hour long and can be tailored to suit the needs and interests of the participants. Each session has a theme to help engage and encourage creativity, memory and imagination. Recent themes have included Spring Flowers, The Coronation, Sport and Summer Holidays, and I am always thinking up new ones!  I can also tie themes in to any particular events that are happening in your care setting.

I use a number of props and a variety of music from classical, jazz and world music to well known songs. This is to inspire and encourage everyone to participate in whatever way they are able -  just watching and singing along is beneficial. I have extensive experience delivering sessions for those living with dementia, and am currently studying dance for Parkinson's and dance for chronic breathlessness.

The aim of a Dance on Call session is to help improve health, wellbeing and social interaction through the use of stimulating and fun dance and movement.

* All dance sessions are chair based although participants are encouraged to stand and dance at the end if they would like to and are able. This will be discussed with care staff prior to the session.
